Sobre Nidhivan

Nidhivan is the grove where Swami Haridas is said to have had his vision of Radha and Krishna, and where the image now in Banke Bihari temple was first worshipped. Its tulsi trees grow low and twisted, and the small Rang Mahal inside is prepared with a bed each night.

Nobody may stay after dusk: by tradition, the rasa-lila is danced here after dark. The grove also closes through the early afternoon.

Antes de ir

  • The grove closes at dusk; arrive with at least 30 minutes to spare
  • Remove your shoes where the attendants ask
  • Monkeys are bold here: keep glasses, phones and food out of sight
