Your own car for the day. Your driver and guide collect you at 07:00. Sinhagad is about 30 km from central Pune, 60–75 minutes up the ghat road. The price is per car, not per person: a sedan seats up to 3 travellers and an SUV up to 5, children included.
Sinhagad. The fort, once called Kondhana, stands at about 1,300 m. In 1670 Tanaji Malusare led a night assault to retake it for Shivaji and died in the fight. From the car park you walk through the Pune Darwaza to the Tanaji memorial, Rajaram's samadhi, the Kalyan Darwaza and viewpoints over the hills. Stalls near the top sell pithla-bhakri, kanda bhaji and buttermilk.
Zapurza. About 45–60 minutes away at Kudje, on a hillside above Khadakwasla lake, Zapurza opened in 2022. Its ten galleries hold modern Indian art, Raja Ravi Varma's oleographs, Paithani saris, jewellery, lamps and folk art. Lunch is at its vegetarian café (not included). You pass the Khadakwasla backwaters on the drive back, reaching Pune at around 16:00.
Good to know. Zapurza is closed on Thursdays, so this trip does not run that day. Entry to Zapurza (₹250, under-5s free) is paid at the museum. Weekend traffic on the fort road can add an hour; weekdays are calmer.
