Your own car for the day. A driver collects you from your hotel in Agra at 07:00. Mathura is about 58 km away, roughly 1 to 1.5 hours by road, and Vrindavan about 10 km further north. The price is per car, not per person: a sedan seats up to 3 travellers and an SUV up to 5, children included. A guide accompanies you at the temples in Mathura and Vrindavan.
Mathura in the morning. At Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, phones, bags and cameras go into the cloakroom (about ₹10) before the security check. Inside are the Keshavdev temple and the shrine built as the prison cell where Krishna is believed to have been born. Next comes the Dwarkadhish temple, built in the early 19th century in Rajasthani style, and Vishram Ghat on the Yamuna, where tradition says Krishna rested after defeating Kansa.
Vrindavan by afternoon. You reach Banke Bihari before it closes at midday, then stop for lunch while the temples are shut. From about 16:15 the afternoon brings ISKCON's Krishna Balaram Mandir and Prem Mandir, a white marble temple opened in 2012 on a 54-acre site. You are back at your Agra hotel between about 18:00 and 20:00, depending on traffic.
Good to know. Temple entry is free; donations are up to you. The Dwarkadhish temple keeps short hours, about 06:30–10:30 and from 16:00, so the morning order matters, and your guide may swap stops if a temple changes its timings.
