What you'll see. One ticket covers the palace museums and the gardens behind. Upstairs, the Palatine Gallery hangs Raphael, Titian, Rubens and Caravaggio in crowded, gilded rooms, arranged as a princely picture collection rather than a modern museum. The Royal Apartments show how the court lived, and the Gallery of Modern Art and the Museum of Fashion and Costume fill other wings.
The gardens. Boboli rises behind the palace in terraces, cypress avenues and clipped hedges. Look for Buontalenti's Grotto near the palace, the amphitheatre with its Egyptian obelisk and the Neptune fountain on the way up. Paths are gravel and steep in places, so leave time and energy for the climb.
How your ticket works. Book a date and entry time, start in the palace, then walk out into the gardens the same day. Your audio guide is included and access details are sent with your ticket. Large bags go in the free cloakroom.
Good to know. The Room of the Iliad is closed until 25 October 2026, and the Treasury of the Grand Dukes and the Porcelain Museum are closed for works. Boboli closes at 16:30 from November to February, so book a morning slot in winter.

Know before you go
- Palace closed Mondays; Boboli also closes on the first and last Monday of each month.
- Under-18s enter free, so the child price covers the reservation and audio guide. Bring ID for every child.
- Boboli has steep gravel paths and steps; wear comfortable shoes.
- Last entry to Boboli is one hour before the gardens close.
