The story
The Oceanário was the Oceans Pavilion of Expo '98, designed by Cambridge Seven Associates under Peter Chermayeff, and opened to the public for good in October 1998.
Its plan puts one great tank, the global ocean, at the centre and four habitats around it. The Sea Building, added in 2011, is covered in tiles that look like fish scales.
