About Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple
Dagdusheth, a sweet-maker (halwai), and his wife Laxmibai founded this temple in the late 19th century after losing their son to plague. Its Ganesh idol stands about 2.2 m tall, and the temple is the focus of the city's Ganeshotsav celebrations.
