About Dwarkadhish Temple

Seth Gokul Das Parikh, treasurer of the Gwalior state, built the Dwarkadhish temple in about 1814. It belongs to the Pushtimarg tradition and is built in Rajasthani style.

During Shravan (July–August) the Hindola festival swings the deity for 13 days. The temple keeps short opening hours.

Know before you go

  • Opening windows are short; arrive well before 10:30
  • Remove your shoes before entering
  • Lanes around the temple are crowded and narrow
