Things to do at Keshi Ghat

About Keshi Ghat

By tradition, Krishna bathed at Keshi Ghat after slaying the horse-demon Keshi. Today it is Vrindavan's best-known ghat, a long sweep of steps and pavilions on the Yamuna.

Each evening, around sunset, priests offer lamps to the river in the aarti, and boatmen wait at the steps for short rides.

Know before you go

  • Boat rides cost about ₹100–150; agree the price first
  • Steps can be wet and slippery near the water
  • Aarti times follow sunset and are not published; arrive early
