About Park Güell

Gaudí turned a failed housing estate into a fantasy park: the serpentine mosaic bench, the trencadís dragon and gingerbread lodges, all looking out over the whole city to the Mediterranean.

Know before you go

  • Timed entry to the Monumental Zone — arrive within your slot
  • It's a steep uphill walk from the metro
  • Bring water and sun protection — little shade up top
  • The wider park is free; only the mosaic zone is ticketed
