The day. Your driver collects you from your hotel in central Milan and heads east on the A4 motorway to Lake Garda, about 1 hour 45 minutes away. The car and driver are yours for the day, so your group sets the pace for stops and lunch.
Sirmione. You enter the old town beside the moat and walls of the Scaliger Castle, built by Verona's della Scala family. Climb the wall walkways and the 37-metre keep for views over the lake, then wander to the tip of the peninsula, where the Grotte di Catullo hold the ruins of a large Roman villa.
Verona. After lunch it's about 40 minutes to Verona. A licensed local guide walks you from the Arena, built in the 1st century AD, along Via Mazzini to Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, and past the house linked to Shakespeare's Juliet. Since April 2026 her courtyard has timed, paid entry.
Good to know. The Scaliger Castle closes on Mondays, so this tour runs Tuesday to Sunday. Both historic centres are limited-traffic zones, so expect some walking from drop-off points. You're back at your hotel at about 18:30.
