The story
UNESCO listed the banks of the Seine in Paris in 1991, from the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower and from Place de la Concorde to the Grand and Petit Palais. It also noted how Haussmann's wide squares and boulevards influenced town planning around the world, and the bus follows many of them.
The Eiffel Tower was finished on 31 March 1889 after two years, two months and five days of work. The Arc de Triomphe was inaugurated in 1836, and the Palais Garnier opera house marked its 150th anniversary in 2025.
